Workshops are educational voice activities hosted by an LT or above, they are designed to share knowledge and help educate members accross a variety of topics. Topics should be centered primarily around gaming, leadership, and XGN information.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 XGN members (not deafened)
• Minimum duration of 15 minutes per topic
• Maximum of 3 Workshops hosted per day per member
• Maximum of 3 Workshops co-hosted per day per member

Hosting a Workshop

1. Navigate to the 〔🎓〕create-a-workshop channel in the XGN Discord
2. Click the "Start Workshop" button
3. A prompt will appear, enter your topics, separated by commas (between 1 and 6 topics)
4. A setup preview will appear showing your topics and estimated duration
5. Optionally, click "Add Co-Host" to select a co-host for the session
6. Click "Confirm & Create", the bot will:
   • Create a temporary voice channel for your workshop
   • Post a session embed listing topics, participants, and estimated end time
   • Begin tracking the session as soon as the 5 Member minimum count is detected.

The total session time is calculated automatically as 15 minutes × number of topics. Once finished the host of the workshop must click “End Workshop”. The button will turn green when it’s safe to end successfully.
